Home and School Association
The Home and School Association is an organization that provides activities and services to the students, parents and teachers for children in preschool through sixth grade. Every family is a member of the Home and School Association. Our programs are supported by an annual membership fee and by fundraisers organized by the Assocation. Our activities and classroom support depend on the volunteer efforts of our parents.

Parent representatives coordinate volunteers to assist our teachers with classroom projects, and work as part of a team in helping out with Home and School events. Some of our events include:
- Uniform Exchange (August): School families donote clean, well-conditioned uniforms to be exchanged, sold or donated.
- Ice Cream Social (August): This open house for parents provides an opportunity to meet with your child's teacher and fellow parents.
- SJV Marathon (October): The SJV Marathon is the school's largest and most important fund raiser. Students obtain pledges from sponsor's and "walk for SJV". All proceeds go toward the school budget and materials.
- Magazine Drive (November): This fundraising event helps provide financial support for Home and School events held throughout the year. Students sign up parents, friends and family to order magazine subscriptions.
- Music Programs (December and April): The Home and School Association serves refreshments and treats for all students, parents and guests at the student Music Program performances.
- Catholic Schools Week (January): Home and School parent representatives and volunteers put together a theme luncheon for teachers and faculty as a Thank You!
- Track and Field Day (June): The Home and School Association provides lunch for the whole school on this annual day of fun and competition.

School Advisory Committee (SAC)
The School Advisory Committee (SAC) is the primary advisory committee for school issues. The SAC is comprised of 7 members chosen by an appointment/selection process, the SJV school principal and the SJV church pastor.
The SAC purpose is:- To promote communications among parents, teachers, and the school administration.
- To assist in implementing the mission and philosophy of the school.
- To define and develop the policies which govern the school in a manner consistent with the policies of the Archdiocese and St. John Vianney Parish.
- To assist the areas of public relations, strategic planning, development, and school finances.
